Our methodology
Our extensive experience in providing language courses for corporate and institutional clients has equipped us with knowledge of the specifics of this type of training which, along with our linguistic, psychological and neurodidactic experience allowed us to develop a mature, coherent and complex approach to language courses.
The main pillar of Akademos' philosophy of teaching is the communicative method, which develops effective and correct communication skills, deemed as most important by the majority of our learners.
However, it would be a mistake to limit our methodology solely to this approach, hence, we have combined it with the audio-lingual method. Generally speaking, this method emphasises building good language habits by introducing numerous repetitions (drills) to the course. This method had been initially used during the Second World War in the USA, in order to rapidly train insurgents and spies.
The 'turbo' effect
Finally, this unique combination, supported in addition by the lexical approach (constant vocabulary development), task-based learning (learning by completing specific tasks) and several other techniques, i.e. Brain Gym, Music for Language and the "3xZ" rule, guarantees achieving results and effectively accelerates the learning process, which we call the 'turbo effect'.
We'll be glad to tell you more about our didactic methodology during a meeting, as well as present our approach directly during a free-of-charge presentation lesson.
