OUR TEACHING STAFF

The teacher is the most important link for language training to be successful. Choosing the right teacher is instrumental in achieving the goals of the training, and also affects class attendance, motivation, student involvement and satisfaction.

The staff at Akademos consists of highly qualified, enthusiastic and friendly teachers who:

• establish the precise needs of every student;
• eliminate stress during classes;
• choose appropriate teaching methods and techniques;
• set realistic tasks for students;
• motivate for learning and involve the students in active participation in classes;

We select teachers according to the following criteria:

• Outstanding linguistic qualifications (graduates of the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Language institutes, recipients of scholarships in linguistics, persons with long periods of residence in a foreign country, good command of other languages);
• Lively personality (we prefer dynamic, outgoing individuals);
• High level of knowledge (some of our teachers are graduates of more than one faculty - 2 in 1), which allows them to hold interesting conversations alongside specialised language classes;
• Talent necessary to practice the art of teaching;
• Exceptional personal culture.

Because of the special attention Akademos pays to the psychological aspect of teaching, we cooperate regularly with a psychologist, who is involved in the process of recruiting teachers, as well as in various stages of the teachers' work. The psychologist focuses on selecting the best candidates in terms of personality, and improving their communicative abilities and interpersonal skills in groups
